Giorgio Armani opens hotel in Milan

Armani Hotel Milano is located on the upper floors of a large A-shaped building. At the ground floor has been the Armani flagship store located. The hotel boasts a business centre, with conference rooms and IT facilities; a seventh-floor glass restaurant with views of the Duomo; and a eight-floor, panoramic beauty and treatment centre, gym and pool.

The newly opened property in Milan is situated in the city's Manzoni 31 building and is the result of a collaboration between Armani S.p.A and Emaar Properties PJSC, a global developer.

"This hotel is a declaration of love for my city," says the designer. "I'm not born here, but I have learned and done everything in Milano. When I arrived here as a young man in the fifties, I knew nothing. I want to be remembered not only for my designs but also this hotel. "

The opening was attended among others by Maggy Gyllenhaal, Jessica Alba and Peter Sarsgaard. Armani opened earlier a hotel in Dubai, in Burj Dubai, the tallest building in the world.

Following the opening of the Armani Hotel Dubai - located in Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building - the 95-room Milan hotel aims to continue Armani's commitment to create a atmosphere conducive to "work, relaxation and pleasure".
